Challenges

A few months ago, someone told me that there is going to be a series of challenges ahead of me this year. Frankly speaking, at that time, I didn’t really think of it much at all. Yet now, reading my previous blogs, I am quite amuse at what had happen, is going through and what is to come.

Challenges, a set of tests on one's abilities or resources in a demanding but stimulating undertaking; a call to engage in a contest, fight, or competition.

Challenges are inevitable in life. Some challenges are big and some are small. Some demand great skills and some require tremendous strength. Yet none leave you no room to manoeuver.

"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." ~ KJV (1 Corinthians 10:13)
Some one once told me "Character is like a tea bag, only when its put into hot water can you really tell the fragrance."

"And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. " ~ KJV (Romans 5:3-5)
Yet, Romans 5:6 says: "For when we were yet without strength, in due time (or according to the time) Christ died for the ungodly." ~ KJV

Going through challenges can be tough. It is unbearable when you got drag across the mud. Yet day by day we grow from strength to strength, from glory to greater glory. Slowly but steady it builds us up on chief cornerstone.

Last night a word came to me:

"Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content." ~ KJV (Philippians 4:11)
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." ~ KJV (Roman 8:28)
I didn’t know what it mean at that time. I guess… Now I know…

Quicksand

Have not been blogging for a while… Had been wrestling with time… Well they say "Time and tide awaits for No man…"

Many a times my heart and my strength fails me when wrestling… But it is always hope and faith that keeps me "alive"…

Do you know what is "quicksand"? It is when everything seems right, seems fine… Seems "normal"… And all of a sudden you step into it… You get stuck in it… You started sinking… You panic… You start to struggle… You start to fear… That is when you get struck in quicker… You breathe hard… You start to worry… Your life flashes across you… All the things you want to do that is yet done… All the regrets you will carry with you if that is the end… They all come to haunt you… There are a lot of "What if?"… You just ain’t sure anymore… The more you start to fear… The more it eats into you… Then the more you struggle… The faster you sink….

That.. My friend.. is a "Quicksand"…

But once you get hold of yourself… When faith and hope returns… Your head starts to clear… You have a sound mind… Possibilities of escaping start to arise… You can feel it in you… You confidence returns… You are full of faith… That is when you stop struggling… You just stop struggle… And go with the flow…

You start to slow down your heart rate, your breathing… You look around… You look for opportunities… You saw one… You just reach out to grab it… Without hesitating… You got yourself a branch… You pull yourself out of your situation… You pull yourself out of "Quicksand"…

You saw others behind… And you look for the nearest vine… You throw it towards the others… One by one, you help them out as well…

From a zero… You became a hero… Because you stop letting your fear control you… Stop letting the situation scares you… Instead… You let what that has always been inside of you take the lead… You let go… And...

You let something bigger in you…Arise...
