Life is not a bed of roses...

Most people around do not like to talk about bad reports. They like to hear good news and good reports and glad tidings. They often ask how are you. But they only want to know the good part. If and if you start to speak of a bad report, they will label you as being negative.

However it will not be the case here in my blog. Its my blog. I write what I want to write. I report what I want to report.

Let's be real... Life is not a bed of roses... There are ups and downs in life... Unpredictable... There are good times... There are bad times... Yet only real friends will stick with you in time of need... That is when rubber meets the road, true character is shown...Cherish those people...

"For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, And what I dreaded has happened to me. " ~ NKJV (Job 3:25)

Don't worry... I have long come to a point to say "God... I struggle no more... Who am I to say what is fair or what is not? Where was I when you laid the foundations of the earth? Truly I have no understanding. I am but a little child, for I do not know how to go out or come in. Therefore give to me this day an understanding heart... Let me see what I need to see... Remember me... Forsake me Not..."

Today, I died again... Bad things do happen to good people...

I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor

First I was afraid
I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never live
without you by my side
But I spent so many nights
thinking how you did me wrong
I grew strong
I learned how to carry on
and so you're back
from outer space
I just walked in to find you here
with that sad look upon your face
I should have changed my stupid lock
I should have made you leave your key
If I had known for just one second
you'd be back to bother me

Go on now go walk out the door
just turn around now
'cause you're not welcome anymore
weren't you the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye
you think I'd crumble
you think I'd lay down and die
Oh no, not I
I will survive
as long as i know how to love
I know I will stay alive
I've got all my life to live
I've got all my love to give
and I'll survive
I will survive

It took all the strength I had
not to fall apart
kept trying hard to mend
the pieces of my broken heart
and I spent oh so many nights
just feeling sorry for myself
I used to cry
Now I hold my head up high
and you see me
somebody new
I'm not that chained up little person
still in love with you
and so you felt like dropping in
and just expect me to be free
now I'm saving all my loving
for someone who's loving me

If you find it coincidental, it’s purely fictional...

I find it amazing how some people can't seem to follow any instructions.

Instructions are a set of orders and directions. A set of rules and instructions that are very simple. They tell you what to do and what not to do. Yet many cannot seems to follow.

Example 1:

I do not know if it is purely blur or plain stubbornness or total rebellion. It is a very simple instruction, "Please do not throw your gloves here" See the green thing in the bucket? That is a pair of gloves...

Example 2:

Its not so nice to to quote. The person reads my blog...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law." ~ NKJV (Proverbs 29:18)
In the Books of Wisdom, the word "Instruction" appeared 27 times. In the Book of Proverb itself, the word "Instruction" appeared 23 times. I am sure instructions are GOOD!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"To know wisdom and instruction, To perceive the words of understanding, To receive the instruction of wisdom, Justice, judgment, and equity; To give prudence to the simple, To the young man knowledge and discretion-- A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel, To understand a proverb and an enigma, The words of the wise and their riddles. " ~ NKJV (Proverbs 1:2 - 6)

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction" ~ NKJV (Proverbs 1:7)

"Receive my instruction, and not silver, And knowledge rather than choice gold" ~ NKJV (Proverbs 8:10)

"Hear instruction and be wise, And do not disdain it. " ~ NKJV (Proverbs 8:33)

"Wisdom has built her house, She has hewn out her seven pillars; She has slaughtered her meat, She has mixed her wine, She has also furnished her table. She has sent out her maidens, She cries out from the highest places of the city, "Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!" As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him, "Come, eat of my bread And drink of the wine I have mixed. Forsake foolishness and live, And go in the way of understanding. "He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself, And he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself. Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. For by me your days will be multiplied, And years of life will be added to you. If you are wise, you are wise for yourself, And if you scoff, you will bear it alone." " ~ NKJV (Proverbs 9:1 - 12)

"He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, But he who refuses correction goes astray. " ~ NKJV (Proverbs 10:17)

"Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, But he who hates correction is stupid. " ~ NKJV (Proverbs 12:1)

"He who disdains instruction despises his own soul, But he who heeds rebuke gets understanding. " ~ NKJV (Proverbs 15:32)

"Listen to counsel and receive instruction, That you may be wise in your latter days. " ~ NKJV (Proverbs 19:20)

"Listen to counsel and receive instruction, That you may be wise in your latter days. " ~ NKJV (Proverbs 19:27)

"Apply your heart to instruction, And your ears to words of knowledge. Do not withhold correction from a child, For if you beat him with a rod, he will not die. You shall beat him with a rod, And deliver his soul from hell. My son, if your heart is wise, My heart will rejoice--indeed, I myself; Yes, my inmost being will rejoice When your lips speak right things. " ~ NKJV (Proverbs 23:12 - 16)

" Buy the truth, and do not sell it, Also wisdom and instruction and understanding." ~ NKJV (Proverbs 23:23)

Yet another day...

Woke up today slightly feverish... Head spins like a top... Felt that my brain is going to explode... Contemplating whether should I stay at home rest or die die push myself up to go church... Then a sms came... My CGL is down with fever... Which means I got to go...

Went to church... Felt terrible... Felt like I will drop dead anytime... I bit my lips and hang on... Throughout the service I felt as if I was a time-bomb, going to ignite anytime... It was horrible... Once pastor closes his sermon, I made my way back home, and dropped on my bed...

Thank God Esther called me at 5pm... I couldn't hear my alarm... I dragged myself up and went back to church again... Got to help Edmund with Emerge talentine...

I was in cold sweat the whole time.... Pespiring like crazy... I felt horrible... But I had to go on... My stagehands are first time doing back-stage... I had to doubble-up...

Long day tomorrow... Long week to come... Wish me luck... Remember me in your prayers...

Yet another day to come....

It just keeps coming...

Have not been blogging for a long time... Got so busy at work... ASEAN conference just finished yesterday... School is crazy... Been missing school this whole week due to the conference...

But this is not the end. Tomorrow is yet another challenging day... Service in the morning, rushing to CG immediately after that... Then back to church to help out in Emerge...

Next week is more... I got to rush out a report (in fact it was done and submitted but the organisers wants it to be in the "new format", so I have to RE-write it...Tsk...) and a presentation and the script of the presentation by Thursday. But Monday morning I got to clear up for the conference, Tuesday I need to go on leave because I have got a test today... But I postpone it to Tuesday.. I have got to work today... Thursday we got to rehearse for the presentation... Friday is the presentation...

Looks like a long week ahead... Oh.. No.. no.. Please don't misunderstand me... I can take the pressure... I can cope with stress... It is my flesh, my physical body that cannot take the fatigueness...

I think I am getting old...

What good is a blog for?

Communication, the art of passing information in any cognitive entity. Communication is a kind of social interaction where at least two interacting agents share a common set of signs and a common set of semiotic rules. In a simplistic model, information is sent from a sender or encoder to a receiver or decoder. In a slightly more complex form feedback links a sender to a receiver. This requires a symbolic activity, sometimes via a language.

Language, it is a system of signals, such as voice sounds, intonations or pitch, gestures or written symbols which passes information. Language learning is normal in human childhood. Most human languages use patterns of sound or gesture for symbols which enable communication with others around them.

Human communication is a very complex system. It consists of both verbal and non-verbal ques.

Sad to say, many only learnt the language but not the Art of communication. I am one of them who is not very gifted in the area of communication. Why do I say so? Well... Something to think about: If everyone is talking at the same time who is listening? There can only be one person talking at the same time. Most of the time, I take the listening role. Somehow I've ended up as "Uncle Agony" most of the time. Maybe I am a good listener. Maybe I don’t have a choice. I do have a lot of things to say. Sadly I don’t have audience. Most people around me want to make their point. So when? When is it my turn to talk? Hmm... I do have opportunity to talk. However these chances come rare. Short-lived too. I usually got break up, interrupted, cut in, and you get the point. I don’t get to talk....

They say that Man has 10,000 words a day and woman has 20,000. If I am able to cash my unused words... I may jolly well be the richest man on earth...

I don't understand... Why I never got to complete my sentences? Why most people are so quick to talk and slow to listen? Is my words not worth their time? Or are their opinion more important?

I guess this is why a blog is invented... For people to voice their views without interruption...

Exhausted

Even felt that your head weighs a ton? Breathing gets heavier. Heartbeat went faster. Vision gets blurred. Head spinning. Starting to have illusion. Feel like throwing up. Brain feel so congested it felt like exploding. Heart sank down it felt as if it is going to stop.

Does it sound like taking drugs? I don't know I have not taken drug before. But if it does, who needs drugs which cost so much? Just get a hectic lifestyle like me. Get so busy in life continuously for 3 years. You can find permanent "high".

Maybe I have not been asking God. So...

Dear God this is a list of what I need:

I need a house fully paid for (a condo? at least a 4-5 room HDB flat)
I need a car fully paid for (Nissan March? Of cos BMW is my favourite)
I need a promising career
I need a promotion
I need creative ideas
I need favors
I need helps
I need partnerships
I need my own businesses
I need rest
I need a life
I need a break
I need recreation
I need a holiday
I need Club Med
I need my school fees paid off
I need wisdom
I need God's power
I need strength

Most importantly, I need God....
